I've just taken the survey. I've been combing the charity shops recently for long skirts with pockets. Good luck!
Check out our website www.koshercasual.com if you are interested in selling our line.
I would love to hear your comments.
E-mail me if you are interested @ modernlymodest1@gmail.com
Long skirts with pockets????!!!!!
I have over the past 15 or so years come accross two of those in a charity shop - in my size that is. Neither of those skirts was a warm winter skirt. I suspect that ALL skirts are designed by men who do not realise that women would sometimes like to go out without a bag or just carry a tissue or mobile phone in their pocket.
Lillian, best wishes in your venture! I am a designer of modest dresses for teens in the USA, I have a small line currently. My site is www.LegacyDesignStudioUSA.com I'd love to know how your survey turns out, and if you'd like to chat about your plan. Best wishes! Andrea

I've just taken the survey as well. I would be so interested! I've bought a sewing machine so I can learn how to sew modest clothes but I'd also like to be able to buy them.
Have you considered selling on Etsy? I'm on there under the name Futurekind :) There are many British sellers on Etsy.
What a fantastic idea. Once your items are ready, inspire other looking for modest clothing on www.themogue.co.uk or check our facebook page www.facebook.com/moguemag.
Hope to speak soon
I would love to see a modest clothes shop or on line shop in the UK, I hate high street fashion and like the things I wore in the 1980s in my youth, long pinafores and dresses, if I could I would sew my own clothes but I have a co ordination dissorder that means I cannot sew. I like the sort of dresses worn by Amish women and also Indian/Pakistani muslim clothes. I also would like to see modest swim wear.
Glad you are thinking along these lines. I am interested in headcoverings for women, too, and am experimenting with scarves and also the hats and coverings supplied for women who have hair loss.
Hi Lillian, my name is Jennifer Wiley, I'm the features editor at a media and production company called Barcroft Media. I'm interested in speaking to a young woman - like you :) - who seeks to dress and live modestly. Would you please get in touch? I'm on 0207 923 1827 or 07508 022396. Many thanks!
Modest cloths for women and girls are badly needed. You are correct it is very hard to get warm skirts. Ireland was known for lovely tweed skirts and kilts. Cloths that are comfortable, warm and complement our character.
I've just taken the survey. I came across your blog while searching for any modest clothes shops in UK, especially for young girls.
I am mum to 4 teenagers/pre-teens who are committed to dress modestly and it`s more and more difficult to find clothes which would be modest and pretty and suitable for their age. I try to sew myself but I am not particularly good at that ( especially larger, more elaborated items). My oldest daughter`s dream is to design modest clothings :)
